My name is Mary Kate, Herd N' Hound is my hobby dog training blog. This is about my own dogs, training, our struggles and triumphs as we navigate the balance of science and art in dog training. I am no way an expert, I have wonderful teachers and mentors who are always there for guidance. I'm forever thankful to everyone who has helped me through the years, to those who I have yet to meet, but sure will someday and of course, my dogs!

Dog sports I've briefly tried & have interest in: Obedience, fast CAT, scent work and herding.
